Department Profile

The Civil Engineering department was established in the academic year 2010. Our mission is to provide quality graduate education in Civil Engineering so as to mould the students possessing high potential into graduates with maximum added value, to develop and transfer innovative applications of Engineering, Science and Technology.

The current educational objectives of the Civil Engineering programme are that our graduates will achieve a high level of technical expertise so that they are able to succeed with better positions in Civil Engineering practice and Research.

Our unique approach of theoretical knowledge and practical application of skills make our students well prepared for their future careers. Software packages like AutoCAD, Map 3D, Revit, Autodesk 3ds Max design. These allow our students to expand their skills and provide an adequate platform to perform analysis, design and drawing for a wide range of civil engineering buildings and other heavy structures viz. Roads, bridges, flyovers, dams, canals, bunkers & silos, cooling towers, power plants etc.

In addition to the conventional survey equipments, our survey laboratory consists of Electronic Total Stations with graphical display, 32 Bit CPU, absolute encoding systems and with a distance measuring range of 4 Kms.

These advanced survey equipments helps our students to observe measurements and acquire data necessary for Civil Engineering projects, maps, and other such projects requiring accurate data.

Throughout the course, there will be considerable industrial input to the program through Guest Lectures by distinguished professionals from construction industry, site visits, seminars and design exercises.
